As a mission-driven community initiative, BLHP empowers individuals and families by bridging the gap between buyers and sellers across multiple domains, with a focus on transparency, expert support, and community trust. Through ethical practices, expert guidance, and data-backed insights. The organization envisions a future where each of its’ member has the opportunity to own a house or other valuable purchases with confidence, dignity, and clarity.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information from our Users, volunteers, beneficiaries, donors, partners, and visitors as the case may be. (“you” or “Users”).

Additionally, we may collect information automatically:

  • Device information (IP address, browser type, OS)
  • Log-in duration, usage data
  • Location (if accessing GPS-enabled services or for event logistics)

 

We may collect and store sensitive personal information (SPI), such as financial information for the purpose, only with explicit consent and in compliance with Indian IT laws. Treatment of Personal Information

  • Personal information will be collected, stored, and used only for the purpose of delivering our organisational services, implementing welfare programs, coordinating volunteering efforts, conducting research, or donor reporting.
  • BLHP Mobile Application: This privacy policy also applies to the BLHP mobile application (available on Android and iOS). Through the app, we collect and process information such as your location (via GPS), OTP-based login verification, user preferences, and wallet activity. These features are used to offer secure access, personalised listings, and a better buying experience. All data collected via the app is protected under the same security and consent standards outlined in this policy.
  • We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to any third party.
  • We use cookies and similar technologies in our application to personalize user experience, analyse usage patterns, and improve service delivery. Users can manage cookie preferences via settings. Information may be used in anonymized or aggregated formats for statistical, academic, or impact analysis purposes.
  • Access to your data is limited to authorized staff members, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • We use industry-standard security measures including SSL certification to protect your data.
  • To ensure account security and verify your identity, we may send a One-Time Password (OTP) to your registered mobile number / e-mail during login or registration. )

  • Facilitating volunteer assignments and participation, facilitating membership support, buyer assistance, and user engagement
  • Facilitating sale and purchase for buying of properties and making buyers’ groups
  • Donor communication and transparency reports
  • Beneficiary profiling to determine eligibility and tailor welfare programs
  • Legal, audit, or government compliance (where mandated)
  • Research and program impact evaluation (in anonymized format)
  • Communication of organisational updates, success stories, or future events (you may opt out at any time)
  • BLHP Points / E-Money is a virtual currency which intends to enhance the user benefits.
  • To enhance your experience on the BLHP platform, we may use your sensitive personal data including your location, preferences, and budget to match you with end offerings including property listings that align with your stated requirements, to our understanding. This matching process helps us provide relevant and personalized results while reducing search fatigue. We do not share this data externally for marketing purposes. All information is processed securely and used solely to support your engagement with the BLHP community.

We do not use your information for commercial promotion or third-party marketing.

Consent and User Rights:

  • You consent to this policy by registering, volunteering, donating, or otherwise interacting with us.
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent, request deletion of your data, or suspend your account by writing to us at blhp@bhlp.in 
  • Upon receiving your request, we will process it within 30 days, after verifying your identity.
  • Location Services: With user consent, we may access your location using GPS and other technologies to deliver area-specific listings, relevant offers, and services tailored to your preferences.
  • For receiving the OTP, if permitted by your device settings, the app may auto-detect and fill in the OTP from your incoming SMS to simplify the login process. This feature is optional and requires your consent via system permissions.

 

Data Security and Confidentiality

  • We employ encryption, firewalls, and access controls to safeguard your data.
  • Access to personal data is strictly limited to authorized personnel for legitimate NGO purposes only.
  • We do not share any personal data with unauthorized third parties.
  • All data handling complies with the applicable provisions of Indian law.

 

Donor Information

We may collect and store personal information of donors such as name, contact details, donation amount, and PAN (if required for 80G receipts). This information is used solely for statutory compliance, issuing donation receipts, and expressing gratitude. We do not sell, trade, or share donor information with any other organization.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for use by children under the age of 18 without parental/guardian supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child, we will delete such information from our records.

Third-Party Service Providers

We may engage third-party vendors or service providers (such as payment gateways, cloud service providers, or API’s and other communication platforms) for effective operation of our website and application. Prohibition on Multiple Accounts                     

Users shall not create multiple or fake accounts to manipulate donor incentives, volunteer tracking, or benefit from welfare schemes unfairly. Any such attempts may result in termination of all or some of the accounts and forfeiture of associated privileges.

Biometric Information              

We do not collect biometric data (such as fingerprints or facial scans). If future projects involve such data, we will seek your explicit consent and update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

Limitation of Liability              

While we take all reasonable measures to protect your data, BLHP shall not be liable for any unauthorized access, hacking, or data loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
